Clean out your business junk drawer with me!
A few months ago, I realized I’d been treating my business like that one junk drawer in the kitchen.
You know the one… the “I’ll deal with it later” drawer.
It’s not messy enough to stop you from making dinner, but every time you open it, you think, damn, I really need to sort this out.
Except in business, that drawer was full of half-finished projects, “someday” ideas, and dreams I kept telling myself I’d get to once I had more time.
Spoiler: the time never magically appeared.
So I made the time.
I cleared the “junk drawer” and what came out was pure gold:
🔥 GrowthSquad: my $11/month membership and community for when you’re done building your business in isolation
🔥 3 new books: one’s about to drop next week (but “Think Like a CEO” is out now!)
🔥 Sprk’d Publishing: a done-with-you service to get your book finished, polished, and out in the world without the overwhelm
🔥 The 2-Week Sprint: my fast-track coaching to help you land high-value clients, right now
But clearing that drawer wasn’t just about business offers.
It made me face all the personal projects I’d been sitting on, too.
Case in point: the giant sticky-note whiteboard I created to wrangle my 34 “I’ll get to it later” tasks.
Yes, 34 and 30 remain since I first embarked on this eons ago (before I let life get in the way).
So, yes 30… I googled how long that would take at a pace of one per week. (Hello, March-something of 2026‽)
Every week, I’ll pick one, move it from “To Do” to “Done,” and watch that results column fill up (there’s already five items there so it’s a great start!)
This is part accountability, part constant-visual-reminder, part dopamine hit.
And it’s working.
Which brings me to the tech “junk drawer” many business owners don’t realize they have: the tools they could be using to make their lives easier but aren’t touching because the setup feels overwhelming.

Enter ChatGPT-5…
It just dropped, and it’s like upgrading from a flip phone to a spaceship: faster, smarter, can handle whole-book conversations, and now speaks “all the modes” — text, images, audio, video.
You can even give it a personality (hello, Sassy Strategist) and plug it into tools like Google Calendar so it’s actually useful in your day-to-day.
Why care? Because AI isn’t here to replace you — it’s here to help you clear mental and operational clutter so you can focus on the work only you can do.
The robots aren’t taking your job. But the people who learn to work with them? They’re about to lap you.
So whether it’s your business junk drawer, your “someday” sticky-notes, or that unopened AI account… maybe this is your sign to clear the clutter and get moving.
My question for you:
What’s one thing in your business junk drawer you’re ready to finally move to the “Done” column?
SOOOoOo… follow along for what’s sure to be a wild journey!
ChatGPT-5: Key Highlights (as of August 2025)
Here’s the gist: it’s faster, thinks deeper, handles way longer convos (we’re talking entire books), and now speaks “all the modes,” meaning text, images, audio, video. We’re nowhere near AGI (yet) and this release is MUCH overhyped but here’s the highlights I’ve gleaned:
1. Unified, Smarter Model Architecture
ChatGPT‑5 consolidates previous model variants into a single, adaptive engine, with a real‑time router that decides whether a quick answer or in-depth reasoning is needed. Source
Available in multiple optimized flavors—standard, mini, nano, and chat—each tailored for distinct performance, cost, or interactive needs. Source
2. Enhanced Reasoning, Memory & Multimodality
Delivers stronger step‑by‑step reasoning and improved accuracy across math, coding, and writing benchmarks with drastically reduced hallucination rates. Source
Equipped with an expanded context window—reported up to 1 million tokens in some accounts, enabling coherent handling of ultra‑long documents and conversations. Source
Offers full multimodal capabilities, meaning it can process and respond to text, image, audio, and video inputs. Source
3. Customization, Integration & Developer Access
Supports custom personalities, new response styles (e.g., Cynic, Robot, Listener, Nerd), enhanced Voice Mode, and personalization themes. Source
Seamless integration with external tools like Gmail and Google Calendar, as well as deeper support for developers via API. Source
4. Access Tiers & Rollout
GPT‑5 is rolling out to all ChatGPT users, including free‑tier—though free access may come with limitations or throttle to GPT‑5 Mini. Source
Plus/Pro/Enterprise users enjoy higher usage caps, access to high‑capacity variants, and turbocharged performance. Source
5. Strategic Leap, Not AGI (Yet)
Marketed as a milestone toward Artificial General Intelligence—but OpenAI clarifies that GPT‑5 still does not possess continuous learning or full AGI capabilities. Source
CEO Sam Altman metaphorically framed its impact as akin to the “Manhattan Project” in terms of its significance and potential. Source
6. Reception & Concerns
Though widely lauded for its technical gains, some users have voiced frustration—particularly regarding the loss of access to previous model options and new rate limits imposed on paid tiers. Source
