And why your brain needs you to answer this before your next big move.
Here’s a hard truth we don’t talk about enough:
Growth isn’t just about what you do.
It’s about what you stop doing.
You want to explode your speaking career as an introvert?
Love that for you. But your nervous system can’t rewire if you’re not actively making space for social risk, connection, and the recovery you’ll need to do it again.
You want six-pack abs?
Cool. But your brain—and your metabolism—can’t reconcile that with three margaritas and a midnight DoorDash habit every weekend.
You want your first 6-figure month?
Amazing. But your brain isn’t designed to handle big executive decisions and late-night dopamine hits from TikTok. Something’s gotta give.

🧠 Brain Break! Let’s talk neuroscience for a sec.
Your brain is brilliant, but it’s not infinite.
Every new goal you set adds more cognitive load — the mental effort required to process tasks, decisions, and emotional regulation. Think of it like RAM on your computer: there’s only so much bandwidth.
And if you’re stacking new goals on top of habits, routines, and thought patterns that no longer serve you?
You’re not “leveling up.”
You’re maxing out your system.
You need to prune the old neural pathways before new ones can fully take root. That’s neuroplasticity 101.
Old habits aren’t just annoying — they’re neural grooves your brain defaults to when you’re stressed, tired, or overwhelmed.
If you don’t disrupt the pattern, you’ll loop.
Again and again.
Also? Your brain hates ambiguity.
When you tell it:
“I’m gonna grow this business and feel more ease and also go to yoga and also write that book and also… oh look, a notification!”
…it freaks the hell out.
It doesn’t know what to prioritize.
So it chooses the easiest path: your autopilot. (Enter: doom scrolling, procrasticleaning, perfectionism, and a casual existential crisis before lunch.)
This is why it’s not enough to just set goals.
You need to make space for them — by clearing the habits, tasks, and mental scripts that are blocking your upgrade.
So… what are you willing to give up?
Not forever. But for now.
Long enough to rewire your default mode.
Long enough to let a new version of you emerge.
Until you do this, nothing sticks — because your nervous system is still bracing for the familiar.
And listen, we do not hustle-curled around here.
We build with clarity. With intention. With science and soul.
